Hey Roomlanders,

Just a quick one from me to say that the second monthly expansion module is now available via the Patreon for just £2 a month!

Without spoiling it, this module adds another new area to the game with unique game mechanics, and a big mystery, which if you can solve will hint at something massive about the truth of the world of the Colostle!

You can sign up to the Patreon here: https://www.patreon.com/colostle where I will post new game content every month to add to your adventures with new artwork and new places to explore!

thanks guys, (right, back to packaging up the hardbacks!)

New Discord Link and UK Games Expo
over 4 years ago – Thu, Jul 22, 2021 at 10:27:02 PM

Hey Roomlanders!

Another update from me so soon! Just wanted to shout out a couple of things!

Firstly,  a new link to the Discord server where all sorts of Colostle chat is going on! Sharing art and journal entries, homebrew rules and you can ask me questions over there. There is even a unique area for Patrons to discuss the new expanded content!

I have tried to make this link never expire but I never seem to get this right. Hopefully it will work for a little while at least: https://discord.gg/Gbmzv8RPpc

And secondly, Colostle will be at the UK Games Expo 30th July - 1st Aug at the NEC in Birmingham! So if you're a UK backer and you're headed to that show I would love it if you dropped by to say hi, and I could thank you in person! Would be ace to meet some of you if that is possible!

thanks all,

Hardbacks and Patreon Content #2
over 4 years ago – Thu, Jul 22, 2021 at 09:36:17 AM

Hey Roomlanders,

Sorry its been a little while since you heard from me. Been head down working on stuff and thought I'd just check in to show you all that I'm still alive and still working hard on all things Colostle.

First up, Hardback orders. I am hard at work packaging these up at the moment which will take a little while. For the paperback orders I was able to book out some office space and spend a weekend blitzing them, but sadly that hasn't been possible for this wave of orders, which means I am doing it in my spare time where I can grab it, evenings, weekends etc. I am getting there and hope to be starting shipping in a couple of weeks.

In other news the second piece of Patreon content will be coming out this weekend if all goes to plan, so if you want to get in on that and last months new module then get yourself over to https://www.patreon.com/colostle and sign up for just £2 a month! This next module again introduces a whole new area of the Colostle with new encounter tables and strange new things to discover, this time adding in a mystery to the mix too! What could it mean?

So, in short, still going strong and will have more news for you very soon,

thanks again guys,

THE HARDBACK IS HERE!!!
over 4 years ago – Fri, Jul 09, 2021 at 10:51:51 PM

Just look at this...

I even took the time to do a little photoshoot of it...

The quality is IMMENSELY HIGH! The pages feel amazing, the end papers inside the hardback cover look so good, the colour reproduction is next level... I am supremely happy.

Postage will begin on these very soon and then you should all start receiving your copies this month, or at the latest; the start of the next.

Now I'm just going to go and stare at it for a bit...

thanks for helping me bring this to life Roomlanders,

Customs Charges
over 4 years ago – Fri, Jul 09, 2021 at 01:45:00 AM

Hey Roomlanders,

The printer assures me that I should be receiving the hardbacks very soon, potentially tomorrow if all goes to plan! As soon as I get them, I will post an update with some photos so you can see how they're looking and then get started on the postage!

And speaking of the postage, over the course of my fulfilment of this campaign some of the rules have changed regarding customs charges and importing products from the UK, this is particularly true for the EU. The threshold for customs charges dropped to £0 on July 1st for importing packages from the UK to the EU, which means it is likely you will have to pay additional charges no matter what I do. Unfortunately I am not able to tell you how much these additional charges will be as they are different from country to country and also your country's postal service might add on a handling/processing fee which I cannot predict.

On top of that, I am sorry to say there is no way I can cover these additional charges either. Both from a budget or logistical perspective. The method I am using to post the parcels out to you doesn't allow me to pay it, and even if it did, there is no leftover money in the Kickstarter funds to be able to afford it. Sadly Brexit has done a bit of a number on us here.

What I CAN say, is that this is likely to only be a problem for EU backers, and also that the costs shouldn't be too much. From what I hear the fees tend to be a small cost and a small processing fee, but obviously I can't guarantee that.

I am very frustrated about this, the last thing I wanted to do was to make you guys pay more money and I am truly sorry, but I want to be as transparent about this as possible.

As a result, refunds will of course be available to anyone who has yet to receive their order and don't want to pay any additional fees. Just send me a direct message here on Kickstarter or to my email [email protected] and I will organise that for you.

Going forward, this is likely to become a general issue for EU customers when importing anything from the UK, unless you are importing from a big company that can cover those costs for you.

Thanks again for all your support and sorry for the bad news, I hope you are all still excited to receive your hardbacks, I am super excited for you to receive them!

More from me very soon,

Nich x
